Prayer to Receive Salvation

Father God,

I come before You today to confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, Who died on Calvary's cross to pay the penalty for my sins, and that You raised Him from the dead, and by His name alone we can and must be saved. Today, I repent of my sins and ask Jesus to come in and take up residence in my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and empower me to live the life that You want me to live. Reveal Your plan and purpose for my life and equip me to walk in it by faith. Lead me daily on the path where You want me to go, and I vow to serve You for the rest of my life. Thank You, Lord for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
